Mailing Dates
Bills are mailed on April 15, July 15, October 15 and January 15 and are due 30 days from date of mailing. After 30 days, a 10% penalty is added.Fee Structure
Water Bills
Each bill accounts for the previous 3 months of usage. This helps ensure you are paying for the amount of water you actually use. Occasionally a reading will be estimated if an actual read is not possible.
Residential Sewer Bills
Residential and Commercial account sanitary sewer rates are based on the actual amount of water they use each quarter. Water irrigation accounts set up with a water meter separate from their main account will not be billed for sewer.City Utility bills function as a lien on a property. Any delinquent water, sewer and garbage bills through December 31 of each year are added to the summer taxes for the next year. In the spring, letters are sent to the latest address on file for the homeowner with unpaid bills. These letters show the amounts owed to the city and how much will be added to the summer taxes if they are not paid by the stated date. Any money collected by that date will reduce the amount added to the summer tax bill. Any money received after the due date will be applied to current charges.
