Refuse
For your convenience, we offer weekly curbside residential refuse collection through our contract with Republic Services. In addition, Republic Services collects appliances and bulky items based on a pay-to-throw sticker program. We are pleased to offer our residents a choice in how they prepare their refuse for pick-up: roll-out refuse carts or bag service. Please keep in mind that the roll-out carts have a neater appearance at the curb and prevent most animals from scavenging in your garbage.
During the first 2 weeks of January and the first 2 weeks of July each year, the property owner of the collection address may elect to change service from a roll-out cart to mixed-refuse bags or vice-versa by notifying the City Offices. Changes are only allowed during this 2-week period.
From mid-October to mid-November, residents may rake their fall leaf drop into the street for bulk pick-up by the City as noted in the Leaf Collection section.
No yard waste may be placed in a 65 or 95-gallon refuse cart.

- Monthly curbside bulk brush pick-up from April through October
Christmas Tree Chipping
We will pick up, chip and recycle Christmas trees during the 1st 2 full weeks of January. Trees must be placed at the curb (not in the street) without bags or wrapping.

Weed Violations
Our year-round weed ordinance states that weeds and grass cannot be higher than 9 inches. On or before March one of each year, we will:- Prepare outline of weed map

Yard Waste
Yard waste may be deposited at the Public Works yard drop off site, located at 805 W. Oak Street, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week. Yard wastes include miscellaneous waste material resulting from landscaping or maintaining the landscaping of a home (grass, weeds, houseplants, garden wastes, etc.).From mid-October to mid-November, residents may rake their fall leaf drop into the street for bulk pick-up by the City as noted in the Leaf Collection section.
