When a stray animal is spotted, we will pick up and deliver the animal to Bellwether Harbor. Before the animal can be released, the owner must pay applicable fines to City of Fremont:
- $5.00 for first time offense
- $10.00 for second offense and thereafter
After the fines have been paid, we will contact Bellwether to release the animal. Lodging fees must be paid when the animal is picked up at Bellwether.

Homeland Security
For straightforward and practical guidance on personal and family preparedness, including survival strategies for tornadoes, floods, terrorism and nuclear, biological and chemical emergencies, we have a resource available to loan entitled "Home Safe? Home.” The collection is available in VHS, DVD or book form, and any resident can stop in during normal business hours to check the materials out. These simple instructions can provide peace of mind for those who want to know they are doing all they can to ensure their security.
Another excellent resource for information is the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) web site. The FEMA web site is an excellent site for residents to learn all they can to prepare themselves in the event of an emergency.
