The Fremont Police Dept is participating with several other local police agencies in a Food Drive to assist the NCCS Food Pantry. If you could help, please consider dropping off any canned items, pastas, cake mixes, crackers, or any other sealed food item you feel might help those less fortunate. All items can be brought to police dept at 101 E. Main St. This drive will run until April 24, 2008. Thank you for you consideration and assistance!
FPD Triathlon
The 2007 West MI Triathlon sponsored by the Fremont Police Dept is in the books after a record turnout. The weather was warm, but that did not stop over 100 participants from taking the the lake, bike, and run courses to "challenge themselves" in this fun and enjoyable triathlon. I want to thank everyone who turned out and supported this event and hope to continue to see it grow with each and every year.
We are already counting the days to this year's event, Saturday, August 9, 2008. Staff
We provide 24-hour coverage with eight full-time and eight part-time sworn officers. Our staff includes the Chief of Police, Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Community Policing Officer, Road Patrol Officers and Administrative Assistant.
We currently have officers assigned to the multi-jurisdictional Newaygo County Emergency Response Team and Dive Team. These close working relationships with area agencies further underscores our commitment to the residents of our community and the surrounding County.
