FREMONT CITY COUNCIL
MINUTES – SPECIAL MEETING
Tuesday, August 13, 2007 – 6:00 PM
Mayor James Rynberg called the Special Meeting to order at 6:02 PM.
Present at Roll Call: Mayor James Rynberg and Councilmembers James Breinling, Larry Breuker, Dick Conley and Jane Drake
Staff Present: City Manager Chris Yonker
Public Present: None
Approval of Agenda
Councilmember Conley moved, seconded by Councilmember Breuker to approve the meeting agenda as submitted; motion carried.
Brief Public Comment
No public comments were made.
Mayor Rynberg noted that City Manager Yonker, in compliance with the MI Open Meetings Act, requested his performance review be conducted in a Closed Session of the City Council.
Motion by Councilmember Breuker, seconded by Councilmember Drake to close the Regular Meeting at 6:05 PM and enter into a Closed Session for the purpose of conducting the City Manager’s annual performance review; motion approved by unanimous roll call vote.
The Closed Session ended at 6:57 PM and the Regular Meeting reconvened.
Acceptance of City Council Review of City Manager’s Performance
Council consensus was to place the acceptance of the City Manager’s performance review on the next regular Council meeting agenda (8/20/07). At that time, Council would also consider any compensation package adjustments based on the accepted review.
Discuss Annual Performance Plan Objectives for FY 07/08 Review Period
City Manager Yonker submitted a list of possible objectives for consideration for FY 07/08. Following brief discussion, Council requested the objectives also be placed on the August 20th meeting agenda for further discussion.

Motion by Councilmember Breinling, seconded by Councilmember Drake to adjourn the meeting at 7:02 PM; motion approved.
