FREMONT CITY COUNCIL
MINUTES – SPECIAL MEETING
Tuesday, July 25, 2006 – 6:00 PM
Mayor James Rynberg called the Special Meeting to order at 6:09 PM.
Present at Roll Call: Mayor James Rynberg and Councilmembers James Breinling, Larry Breuker, Dick Conley and Jane Drake
Staff Present: City Manager Chris Yonker and City Clerk/Finance Director Todd Blake
Public Present: None
Mayor Rynberg noted that City Manager Yonker, in compliance with the MI Open Meetings Act, requested his performance review be conducted in a Closed Session of the City Council.
Motion by Councilmember Drake, seconded by Councilmember Breuker to close the Regular Meeting at 6:12 PM and enter into a Closed Session for the purpose of conducting the City Manager’s annual performance review; motion approved by unanimous roll call vote.
The Closed Session ended at 7:18 PM and the Regular Meeting reconvened.
Acceptance of City Council Review of City Manager’s Performance
Council reviewed and discussed the City Manager’s objectives, behaviors and communication skills for the 05/06 review period (fiscal year.)
Discuss Annual Performance Plan Objectives for New Review Period
City Manger Yonker submitted a list of possible objectives for consideration for FY 06/07. Following discussion, Council requested the objectives be placed on the August 7th meeting agenda for more discussion.
Council noted consideration for adjustments to the City Manager’s compensation package will also be considered at the August 7th meeting, following further review of performance information.

Motion by Councilmember Drake, seconded by Councilmember Breuker to adjourn the meeting at 9:40 PM; motion approved.
