 Our modern campground is located on beautiful Fremont Lake, only one mile from downtown. A boat launching area, parking, showers and complete sanitary facilities are readily available. Boats can be rented on the lake, while bait and fishing tackle can be purchased from local merchants.
The campground is typically open from the last Saturday in April through the second or third Saturday in October (near the 15th).
The City recently received a $180,500 DNR grant from the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund to expand the campground facitlities. The project includes 30 additional new full-service campground sites on the wooded property north of the existing campground. The project also includes 12 new primative campsites and paved walkway extensions throughout Fremont Lake Park, which connect with the Town & Country Path. We expect this project to be completed during the summer 2012.
