Names and Boundaries
Section 1.1. Name
The municipal corporation now existing and known as the City of Fremont, as its limits now are or may hereafter be established, shall be and continue a municipal corporation under the laws of the State of Michigan, and shall be known by the name of City of Fremont.
Section 1.2. Boundaries
- The city shall embrace the territory constituting the City of Fremont on the effective date of this Charter, together with such annexations thereto and less such detachments there from as may be made thereafter. Upon annexation or detachment of territory, the boundaries shall be deemed changed without amendment of this section.
- The clerk shall maintain and keep available in his office for public inspection the official description and map of the current boundaries of the city.
Section 1.3 Wards
The city shall consist of one single ward.
